Journeyman Electrician

Company Overview:

We are a general contracting company that does our own "in-house" electrical installs, primarily for multifamily 5 floor wood frame buildings.

This position is responsible for managing the electrical installation for a multifamily, 100 suite apartment building within the city of Calgary. Under the directions of an electrical senior project manager the responsibilities are as follows:

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Basic installs of electrical
• Electrical material handling
• Wiring of suites
• Electrical slab work
• Install of lights and plugs
• Install, examine, demolish, replace electrical
• Test electrical equipment and components
• Assist with installing switch gear
• Troubleshoot, maintain circuits
• Actively work with other trades and increase knowledge base for apprentices

Qualifications:

• Registered Journeyman Electrician
• Minimum 4th year Apprentice
• Class 5 driver's license and a reliable vehicle
• Ability to understand all electrical materials for multifamily buildings
• Great understanding of the following: Alberta Building Code & Fire Code
