We are looking for a skilled, dedicated person to fill the position of Payroll & Human Resources Administrator. This position will be onsite at our Moncton, NB location.

Purpose:

Performs a combination of administrative functions associated with payroll and human resources related duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Executes hourly employee payrolls in payroll system
  • Enrolls new employees into payroll system
  • Maintains time off balances such as vacation, sick and bereavement
  • Monitors time reporting system to avoid payroll errors
  • Answers payroll related employee questions and concerns
  • Enters data from standard forms and reports into appropriate systems
  • Processes documents after examining for completeness and accuracy
  • Review and organize all incoming applications for active job postings
  • Assist with the identification and selection of candidates
  • Maintain accurate and well-organized records
  • Assist managers with final steps of the selection process, including reference checks, distribution of onboarding materials, etc.
  • Administer Predictive Index Behavioral Assessments, maintain company PI website.
  • Plays integral role in setup and monitoring of orientation and onboarding processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required in the best interest of the company.
  • Maintains confidentiality in relation to employee information and concerns and other matters of business.

Requirements and Skills:

  • 3+ years experience in payroll processing preferred
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Knowledge of payroll programs
  • Understands minimum wage laws, confidentiality policies, employee notification requirements, and other regulatory policies
  • Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus internet functions
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Ability to work independently or as a member of a team.
  • Strong reasoning and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to organize, prioritize and multitask.
